Envisioning the future

If the funding support the EyeSight Foundation of Alabama provides for research into blinding eye diseases such as those illustrated below helps lead to a cure or new treatment, then we know that work has helped fulfill our mission.  At the same time we recognize that millions of Americans deal with vision loss and related challenges every day and helping them see the way to the right resources for help and care is another important part of our mission.

Diabetic retinopathy is a diabetes complication that affects eyes.
Macular Degeneration occurs when the small central portion of the retina, known as the macula, deteriorates.
